This is a vague recollection, but I do remember making massive amounts of taffy. I think it was at the Ellis house. I can see Myrtle and I think Shirley pulling big strands of warm, hot, sticky strands of candy. When all was pulled and before it was too cool, it was time to cut and wrap in wax paper. What a treat for all of us.

I remember that too. I learned how to make Taffy in home ec. I think it was when I was in the 9th grade. Not sure which house is the Ellis house, but I remeber us pulling that stuff until I had blisters. But oh what fun. We should do that again!
